Hello!
I am Badja, a Ceramicist based in Broadstairs, East Kent, in the UK.
I make hand-built ceramic characters with their own expressions, quirks and quiet stories, inspired by nature, occupations, and imagination.
Working slowly and intuitively, I focus on texture, surface, and form, allowing each piece to develop its own personality as it takes shape.
Making these pieces brings me a lot of joy, and that sense of play is something I hope carries through to others.
My work is about small moments of connection, inviting people to pause, smile, and look a little closer, and perhaps leave with something that lifts their mood or makes them smile again at home.
I hope you love them as much as I do.
